1. A/C Filters:
With the first of the month just a few days behind us, please remember to change out your a/c filter!
2. A/C Drain Lines:
We have experienced some low and freezing temperatures over the last week or so and I am sure that most of you have been using your heating system. The next few days promise to be a bit warmer and it would be a good time to clean your a/c drain lines. Some of you may be easily able to access them i.e. they may be in a hall closet (upstairs or down). The white pvc pipe gets clogged with lint build up, pet hair, dust
etc. Take the white cap off the pipe (should be easy to pull or twist off) add a cup of household vinegar and let it drain down. The vinegar drains through and will only smell if the system is ON - so please folks as it warms up in a few days, when you are not using the system is a great time to do this. It keeps the line free, prevents it blocking up and saves sending a plumber out and ultimately makes the unit last longer and hopefully saves you money on your CPS bill! For those of you who find that their system is in the attic, where access is difficult or you are unable to access it, please let us know and we will contact your owner to ask for a Fall system check to complete this action.
Wishing you all a Wonderful Thanksgiving!
